Oh where do we begin?
Sometimes, wedding blogs can be so wordy. This isn’t a wedding blog. It’s a blog that belongs to a dessert company that happens to have much to do with weddings. There’s a difference, and already, I’ve said too much. I’ll try to keep the prose at a minimum.
Here they are…
Wait. Let’s back it up…
Meet Lamont.
And his Lady Love, Remy.
{Enter Bling}

Nice. Nice.
This is where the I Do’s went down.

{Enter Groom and buddies of groom}

They brought some folks along. Let’s see who.

Clearly proud of his crew.

Handsome regal photo, don’t ya think?

Love this photo. The shadow is just too cool.

Remy. Ladies. Come on out.
Beautiful.

Brief interlude. Let’s see some details.

Wow!

Edge knows flowers.
A little more…

Bringing everybody back in…

5. 4. 3. 2. 1.

On their way to the ceremony. All smiles (o:
On his way, too.

Here she comes!

Aaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnndddddddddddddddd…….

They’re married!

Time to celebrate.

When you’re this happy, flowers become magical microphones.
DESSERT, please.

Remy and Lamont are fans of dessert’s simpler side. The cake was a French Vanilla Bean cake – both cake and icing. The cake was dressed in a simple black satin ribbon and anemones.

To keep things simple and clean I created stand-up Apple Butter Crumble Pies and individual plain cheesecakes. The cheesecakes were accompanied by passion fruit sauce, fresh macerated strawberries, and salted caramel.

They created their own table of desserts. Romantic.

Time to show you some love – Remy & Lamont style.

And after sharing their special day, they lit up the night…

Going out in style.

I know it’s one thing to see your friend/relative/child get married. It’s emotional. It’s happy. Maybe even bittersweet. Yet, for me, there’s always something about the car that’s so ethereally symbolic.

I guess it’s that when those wheels begin to turn and the couple – especially young couples (no longer children) – slowly rolls away, it’s the seldom quiet shock of realization that hits. They aren’t your little cousin/sister/brother, your best friend “since we were little”, or your baby. Not anymore. It’s that final “adieu” that’s happening to you on so many levels.
Crazy – the emotions a photo can evoke.

Thank you, Remy & Lamont. Congratulations.
P.S. I do hope that I can be a part of your +1 celebration someday. But for now, I’m going to be looking at these photos and enjoying the moment over and over again. Everything looks breath-taking.
Love & Biscuits, y’all.
