Growing up, #EggoWaffles were a thing in our house. I wasn’t the biggest fan of that type of food, so this was mainly because of my brother. He loved them, and could inhale them like nothing I’ve ever seen. However, he stood alone on that. I realize they are stored in the freezer until you’re ready to eat them, but I hadn’t quite grasped the science behind what was happening with them when it was time to eat. For example, when you pulled them out of the toaster (my preferred method), they’d bend over in prayer. Seriously, what could have been wrong? I’m sure they spent many a dollar testing the waffles to make sure that didn’t happen. In any case, eating a waffle that bends is kin to chomping on a wet doughnut. You just don’t wanna do it. My brother, on the other hand, would put them in the microwave (I’m laughing as I type this), and they’d come out about 25% smaller than they started. WTH?! Why would they shrink. That’s a mean trick. Eventually, you get to a point when you begin thinking there’s got to be a better way
