My favorite spice of all time is cinnamon. So I’m adding this foundational recipe to my arsenal. It’s spicy without being too sweet considering that it is a syrup. Drop this stuff in just about anything you can think of! It makes a wonderful add-in for cocktails, but my favorite is hot chocolate. For a coffee based brunch cocktail, try this Coffee Cinnamon Rum Cocktail.
It keeps for approximately 2 months.
Made for cinnamon lovers! This syrup goes great in cocktails, hot chocolate, poured over ice cream, and so much more.
Servings: 1 cup
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 4-6 cinnamon sticks
Add all the ingredients, and bring to a boil.
Remove from heat, and steep at least 30 minutes, and up to 24 hours.
